Although basically a one woman operation, I have been fortunate to employ some great assistants, and collaborate with terrific Interior Designers. One of those Assistants is my daughter, Amy, who is particularly gifted in wall glazes. Other Assistants have actually been Art Students, serving an Internship.
I have an extensive background in Fine Art, taking my first oil painting class at age 10. Later I majored in Fine Art at Rowan University, transferring to Pratt Institute in NYC. My major was Drawing and Painting, as well as Art History. I have also taken Life Study classes at The Art Institute in NJ. Now I am constantly learning new techniques and finishes. I can furnish many references from both Designers and Clients upon request.
It is funny how the young assistants should be up in the scaffolds but, no, the old lady is the only one who is not afraid, or at least pretends not to be!
Don't worry about those heights! I am fully Insured
Although originally used in a Show House this Acrylic Painting will be shown in an upcoming Art Exhibit
I also enjoy painting portraits of people and pets. This commision has both!
This was a commission of a Race Horse who ran in The Kentucky Oaks race at Churchhill Downs. I painted all of the horses in the field.
