I was fortunate enough to be chosen to Design a space in the Froh Heim Mansion, in Far Hills. Albeit a small hallway and closet, I considered the space a real challenge. I painted a Trompe L'Oeil bay window, on panels to depict the grounds of the estate and The Far Hills Race Meeting in the background. I was able to borrow a wonderful Equestrian Statue by James Leslie, and other racing accesories to finish the design.
I had a wonderful Artisan, Kirsten Briggs Arcell, help me complete this hallway with a "Stucco Mantovano" plaster finish. She also completed the look with faux woodgrain on all the trim. Currently working out of her N. Plainfield Studio, Kirsten is very accomplished in all the high end finishes. Her web-site is www.kirstenbriggsstudios.com
I painted the Far Hills Race Meeting in the background of the center panel, behind the utility barn that was on the property.
